Inside, the dome features another sustainable solution that allows for the rapid deployment of sports flooring. The puzzle-like surface requires minimal groundwork and provides excellent safety, drainage, and shock absorption—further reinforcing the dome’s temporary nature and fast installation concept.

SmartDome Technology for Energy Efficiency

Enhancing sustainability further, the dome features DUOL’s SmartDome technology – a smart control system that enables real-time monitoring and management of all essential dome parameters. Official Opening Ceremony

The new air dome was officially inaugurated by Ria Frowijn, Councillor for Sports, who performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting in the presence of club members and the local community. Annette Stolk, the club’s chairperson, expressed her enthusiasm, stating that the dome would play a vital role in providing year-round training and matches for young and senior players alike. The community welcomed the new addition with excitement, recognizing its value in promoting sports participation during the colder months.
